How long will it take to get a hand painted portrait?

Turnaround time is typically 2-4 weeks. After an order is placed, I will provide you with an estimated completion date and keep you updated on my progress. Please notify me when the order is placed if expidited service is required.

What options are available for paying for my order?

I accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards. Credit/Debit card transactions are done over the phone as I do not currently have a secure online payment processor. You may also choose to pay via PayPal or Google Checkout; however, please notify me of this in advance so I can provide you with the proper information. No personal checks are accepted.

What types of files do you accept?

I can accept photographs in a number of popular formats (.jpeg, .png, .gif, .bmp, .tiff). Don't worry about the file size, the larger the better. A large picture will allow me to see the details of your pet a little easier than smaller size photos. For more photo tips, see the Photo Tips page on this website or contact me with questions.

My photograph is not in a digital format. What can I do?

While I would prefer a digital copy of the photo, I realize that this is not always possible. In this case, I would suggest making a high resolution color copy/scan of the photo and sending to me via email. If you are unable to scan the photo, please contact me to arrange delivery of the photo(s).

I can't decide which photograph will make a better portrait. Can you help?

Definetely. Just send over the photos you have in mind and I will provide as much feedback as possible. Please refer to the photo tips page on this site for additional giuidance and/or feel free to contact me with questions.

Can two (or more) photographs be combined to make one portrait?

This is certainly possible; however, I would like to review the photos prior to making this decision as somethimes this can have a negative effect on the final product. Also, please review the pricing page on this site for additional fees that may be applied for multiple pets.

Do you offer more canvas sizes than what is listed on the pricing page?

Additional sizes are available upon request and may result in special order/delivery. Please contact me if you have a specific size in mind.

can you frame the painting for me?

I do not offer framing services at this time.

How will my order be shipped?

All of my paintings are shipped and insured through UPS. A flat shipping rate of $40.00 is applied to all custom paintings that ship within the United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). Additional costs may be applied if you require higher priority shipping arrangements. The price of custom pencil sketches includes shipping costs anywhere in the United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). Please contact me for special shipping arrangements and/or International shipping orders. All of my custom portraits are packed securely in a standard artwork shipping box and are insured for delivery.

Do I get to see my artwork before I receive it?

We will gladly provide a photograph of the finished painting through e-mail so that you can see what it looks like before we ship. If you are not completely satisfied with the work that you have received, we will gladly make any changes that you request for absolutely no charge to you. We will not send your painting to you until you have approved it and are completely satisfied with the end result.

Will I receive a notification from you after I place the order?

Yes. If you place your order through my website, you will immediately recieve a confirmation email containing the deatils of your submission. Please allow 1-2 business days for me to contact you directly to discuss your order and anticipated completion date.

I want to order more than one portrait. Do you offer discounts?

I am certainly open to having this discussion with you, please contact me to discuss seasonal and bulk discounts.

do you offer refunds for disatisfation and/or shipping mishaps?

I currently do not offer a refund policy on my custom orders unless your portrait was damaged or lost during shipping. I am committed to making sure you are beyond satisfied with your custom portrait and will work with you ensure that all your expectations are met. I will only ship your custom order when you give me the formal authorization to do so. In the event that your custom portrait is damaged or lost during shipping, I will certainly honor a refund (sans the $50.00 non-refundable deposit) or I would be more than happy to replace your damaged or lost portrait with another custom portrait at no additional cost. If your portrait was damaged and you opt for a replacement or refund, I require that the damaged portrait be shipped back to me prior me honoring the refund or starting work on the replacement order. In this case, you are responsible for the costs involved in packaging and shipping the portrait back to me. Unfortunately, I just can’t afford to incur this cost. I also cannot be responsible for damaged portraits being lost or damaged when being shipped back to me for replacement or refund.
